SLI - Surveillance Locates Investigations, Inc. is a fully licensed and insured professional Private Investigations firm based in California. We provide high quality, cost-effective and customizable investigative services for the legal, insurance and risk management industries. We specialize in Insurance Defense, Insurance Fraud and Toxic Tort & Asbestos Investigations with a staff of highly skilled investigators with decades of experience.

Though based in California, SLI has a national reach using a network of Private Investigators located throughout the United States. These investigators are fully licensed and insured in their respective states which allows SLI to manage most of our client's private investigative needs, no matter the location.

To better support our clients needs SLI utilizes a Secure Web-Based Client Portal & Case Management System. At no additional charge we offer Long-Term Secure Storage of Video, Audio, Reports, Documents and access to Streaming Digital Video. While most firms will delete files after only a few years, SLI maintains all case related files indefinitely.

THE FOUNDER

Lee Wolfe, CEO & Director of Investigations at SLI, is a dedicated and accomplished professional who is committed to providing impactful results to his clients. Lee is a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran where he conducted law enforcement and search & rescue operations as a Flight Mech, Boarding Officer and Boat Engineer. Lee is a graduate of San Diego State University with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology. Lee completed a successful internship with the U.S. Attorney’s Office and later worked for the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office.

In 2001 Lee returned to Northern California and began his career as a Private Investigator. Lee later founded SLI and has directly worked or managed over 10,000 investigative assignments. The investigations managed by Lee and his team almost always result in a favorable settlement with a few of our clients receiving a defense verdict at trial as the direct result of our investigative services.

Lee is a former Vice President and longtime Board Member of the California Association of Licensed Investigators (CALI). Over nearly two decades Lee helped expand and create professional educational opportunities for Private Investigators, chaired multiple committees and contributed to the development and implementation of new policies for the association. Lee continues to be an advocate for Private Investigator training and currently holds the Certified Professional Investigator (CPI) designation from CALI and the Certified Professional in Fraud Identification (CPFI) from the Insurance Education Association (IEA).

Lee has twice been awarded the President's Award from CALI and in 2016 he received what he considers his greatest honor, the Jr. Giants Willie Mac Award after 18 years of coaching and mentoring young athletes on and off the field.
